Taman Rimba Kiara is one of the most popular parks with visits from families, schools, weddings, companies and group from all over Kuala Lumpur who will come here for a picnic, outings, family time and many more. This is one of the oldest parks in Kuala Lumpur and if does offers sanctuary, restaurants and peace to its many visitors for many years.

On the December 14, Petaling Jaya the High Court (Appellate and Special Powers) judge Justice Md Said has made the decision on dismissing the applicant against the mix development project in Taman Rimba Kiara by the TTDI residence.

In this case, TTDI Residents’ Association chairman Hafiz Abu Bakar said :

“They (DBKL and the KL Mayor) are the ones who came up with the Kl Structure Plan 2020 to show that piece of land is a public park and now they themselves took away the public park and turned it into a condominium project- are they proud of that?”

“ So, the message here is that, even though the draft plan is not gazetted, the spent years and lots of money to come up with the plan, at least they could honour the plan.”

“And here today, it has been shown that the public opinion doesn’t matter at all. I’d also like to put an appeal to the developer, for the sake of a public park. Please don’t carry out any works as of now, until the substantive hearing disposed of” said by Hafiz Abu Bakar.
