Am I..uhm…King Kong? Be the fastest one at guessing the name of any well-known fictional character or living person. Just write the names on some pieces of paper, mix them in a bowl, make each player picking up one, and let the fun begin! In each turn, the person in the center of the circle should make questions to collect as much information as possible to guess the right name!
Human Battleship
Human Battleship
Who said that table games cannot be played in human size? This funny game is suitable for groups of any dimension, and can be played by making use of just a sheet and a ball made out of newspapers and properly taped: make two teams, divide the chosen squared playfield with the sheet, and dispose the fleet in ‘battle position’ by making the team members lying on the floor. One player from each team (the designated thrower) has to launch the ball on the opponent’s side, and if it hits someone on the full, the ship sinks. The goal is to leave the enemies with no ships left, thus destroying their naval might!
Ultimate Ninja
Ultimate Ninja
Test who has the quickest reflexes with this action-packed, hilarious game. Your goal is to dodge the adversary’s’ strikes and get the others out, becoming the Ultimate Ninja! Disposed all the players in circle in ninja poses, the first one to start the game has two options: he/she can either try to slap some other’s hand, or just make a move towards or backwards from the center to reduce the chances of being stroked. The ‘chosen’ victim can try to avoid being hit, but the new position must be kept until his/her turn. If a player successfully slaps your hand, you’re out of the game, so watch out!
Sticks and Spoons (kids)
Sticks and Spoons (kids)
Let’s see if you’re better than your kids at this game! Tape one spoon at the one end of a stick of variable dimension (the scoop should face outwards) and sit on chairs around an area delimited by an improvised barrier: put marbles in there (at least 10 per participant) and try to pick them up with your spoon. The one who collects more marbles wins! (Are you sure you can be the one?)
Bowl-a-rama (kids)

If you’re searching for a hilarious way to recycle your plastic bottles, just play that very easy and entertaining game with your kids; all you need is to place ten to six bottles in a pyramid shape at the other end of the living room (it’s up to you to decide whether to slightly fill the bottles, but remember to screw the tops on tightly!), make a ball out of newspapers and establish who is the best striker in your home!
Mafia/Assassin
Mafia/Assassin
Here’s a game aimed at adding a pinch of suspense within your friends; you need no equipment, it’s really easy to set up and it heaps of fun!
Firstly, you just have to distribute the five roles of the game by adjusting them proportionally; as an example, for 11 people you should have 1 policeman, 1 doctor, 2 killers, 1 moderator and 6 townspeople (but remember: the moderator only should be known; all the others must be kept secret!). The goal of the assassins is to kill all the participants – including the policeman and the doctor - while the townspeople have to vote out the murderers.
At each turn, it simply works like this: had everyone closed the eyes, the moderator asks the assassins to open their eyes and to choose two people to kill. Once they have silently agreed, the killers close their eyes. Then, it’s the turn of the doctor, who has to choose one person to save. Next the policeman: he has to point his finger towards the supposed assassin, and the moderator just has to agree or disagree in silence. Now, everyone else can open the eyes. Once the moderator heralds who’s been killed (or saved, if the doctor had previously chosen the right person), the townspeople have to cooperate to decide to vote who they guess is the killer. The voted person has to leave the game and keep silent, but no one can be sure that the accused player is in effect the assassin, the policeman, the doctor or any other villager!
The game is played in turns, at each turn you repeat the process and it’s up to the players to trust each other: who’s lying? Is the policeman what he claims to be? How can you be sure of the trustworthiness of the townsperson beside you?
Keep on playing, and figure it out!
Charades

If you always wondered how your acting skills are, test them with this entertaining game! Download and print the word list and separate everyone into teams of at least two. Ask one volunteer from each team come up. (keep in mind that volunteers are not allowed to talk during the game, and aren’t allowed to motion any letters or numbers). Show the volunteers only the first word/phrase. When you say “Go”, the volunteers need to start acting the word/phrase or other hints and help the team guess the word. The first team that raises their hand and guesses the object correctly wins one point for their team. The first team collecting 10 points wins!

Are you able to build a bridge out of sticks and tape resistant enough to support a heavy book? Could you build a strong egg support in such a way that it does not break once dropped from a certain height? You don’t need an Architecture Degree to play that game, just some raw materials, friends and a bit of brilliance!
Human Hungry Hippo
Human Hungry Hippo
Ever heard about that game? You just have to substitute hippos with you and your friends! Divide up in teams, give each team one a laundry basket and choose who among you are going to be the hippos. Make how many balls as you want using just taped newspaper, place them in the center of the living room and dispose the hippos (lied down on the floor); now you’re ready! The team members have to grab the hungry hippos by the legs, and continuously slide them towards and off the center of the playfield. Hippos, try to catch as many balls as you can! (Just a small hint: keep in your mind the sense of the space’s size; smashing your heads one another should be not part of the game)

For all those fans of the TV show New Girl, here’s an alternative way to play one of the funniest games of the modern TV history! First of all, you need to build the castle. It should even be just a coffee table, with prizes (candies, soda drinks, or whatever your imagination comes out with) disposed as follows: the biggest one, the King, should be place in the center, while all the others, the Pawns should be disposed radiating outward from the King. Next, you should build up a trail made out of cushions, chairs, etc, throughout the room, but attention: the floor is made of lava, so mind your steps… After someone having chanted “One, two, three, go!” everyone should run to the castle, pick the first pawns, and move to the nearest object to stand on. All players move in clockwise direction, and the one whose turn it is moves one space, but he/she has to make all the other players gain their steps in either one of these three ways:

1-   Guessing a common trait between two people or objects: the ones who answer correctly pick one pawn and move down the trail

2-   Doing the count: The player counts “one, two, three” and on four, all players put a number on their head. Players who have the same number as the player whose turn it is can grab a prize and move.

3-   Completing a quote: The player begins a famous quote and all other players attempt to finish it. For instance, “The only thing we have to fear is…“ and “fear itself!”. Players who complete the quote correctly take the prize and move.

Finally, after all Pawns have been removed, the King is vulnerable. The first player to land on one of the center spaces, take the last Soldier and finally the King, wins the game!
